Opportunities From: Market Street Mission

Since 1889, Market Street Mission has been providing meals to those in need.  We would like you to be part of the legacy and continue caring for our community and those who pass through our doors.

Location: Morristown (9 Market Street)

What to expect: 

No cooking required. Serve the meal from behind the steam table and assist with clean up (wipe down the tables if possible). 1 volunteer will serve two meals - to the residents of the Mission, and to our community guests  Breakfast volunteer shifts are: Monday - Saturday: 6:10am - 7:30am Sunday: 6:50am - 8:15am

Qualifications for this opportunity: 

Must be 14 and older to volunteer in the kitchen. Minors between the ages of 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (both minor and parent/guardian must attend a 1 time orientation before volunteering). Must be able to stand for the duration of the time.  Please wear closed toe shoes.  Disposable gloves will be provided for use during serving.

Please sign up at a maximum of once per week to allow space for other people to serve.

Since opening our doors, the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission has been providing meals to those in need. We would like you to be part of the legacy and continue caring for our community and those who pass through our doors.

Location: Asbury Park (701 Memorial Drive)

What to expect: 

No cooking required. Serve the meal from behind the steam table and assist with clean up (wipe down the tables if possible). Up to 2 volunteers will serve dinner. Dinner volunteer shifts are: Sunday - Saturday: 5:45pm - 6:45pm

Must be 14 and older to volunteer in the kitchen. Minors between the ages of 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Must be able to stand for the duration of the time.  Please wear closed toe shoes. Disposable gloves will be provided for use during serving.
